Public Protector Stakeholder Roadshow turns to the Northern Cape

The Public Protector Stakeholder Roadshow moves to the Northern Cape over the next two days where Public Protector Adv. Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Deputy Public Protector Adv. Kholeka Gcaleka will meet with Provincial Speaker of the Legislature Hon. N. Klaaste Premier Zamani Saul and his Executive Council, Director-General and Heads of Department. They will also meet with Sol Plaatje Local Municipality Speaker Cllr. Nomazizi Maputle and Executive Mayor Cllr. Kagisho Sonyoni before conducting inspections in loco at Greenpoint, R31 Sewage Dam and Robert Sobukwe

Hospital.

 

The roadshow seeks to strengthen ties and foster collaboration and cooperation between the Public Protector South Africa (PPSA) and organsof state including provincial legislatures, government departments, municipalities and traditional authorities, with a view to promoting quality service delivery and good governance in state affairs.

Meeting with Sol Plaatje Local Municipality leadership

Meeting with Speaker, Premier, Executive Council and senior officials

 

Date             : Friday, February 18, 2022

Time             : 10:00

Venue          : Premier’s Office, 6th Floor Boardroom

 

The roadshow is a flagship outreach programme of the PPSA during which the office interacts with parties interested in its work in fulfilment of its constitutional mandate to investigate, report on and remedy alleged or suspected improper conduct in all state affairs and to be accessible to all persons and communities.
