Public Protector stakeholder dialogue goes to Mpumalanga
Deputy Public Protector Adv. Kevin Malunga will on Thursday, 06 November 2014 meet with the senior provincial government officials of Mpumalanga in Nelspruit. <br><br>The meeting is part of the on-going Public Protector Stakeholder Dialogue 2014 which aims to engage with government, state entities and general public on how to jointly ensure that maladministration and corruption are eliminated while accelerating service delivery.
The dialogue runs until March next year and will see the Public Protector team hold a series of meetings with the Parliament through Portfolio Committees; Ministers, Provincial Executive Councils, Public Office bearers, Legislatures; Accounting Officers; Legal Advisors; Mayors; Municipal Managers; Public Servants and the media.
Among the intended outcomes of the dialogue is to foster a common understanding of the Public Protector’s role in the state and improved cooperation and working relations between the office and state actors. The dialogue is held under the theme “Joining Hands in a partnership against maladministration and corruption.”
