Public Protector to release finalised investigation reports

The Public Protector Adv Thuli Madonsela will hold a media briefing to release the following reports:

  1. Report on an investigation into allegations of maladministration, corruption and a potential conflict of interest against the former Minister of Communications, Hon Dina Pule, MP in connection with the appointment of service providers to render event management services for the hosting of the ICT Indaba held in Cape Town from 4-7 June 2012.

  2. Report on an investigation into the alleged shortages and incorrect supply of school workbooks by the National Department of Basic Education to Eastern Cape schools.

  3. Report on an investigation into an allegation of maladministration by the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport in Mpumalanga in the awarding of tenders for shop leases in Pilgrims Rest.

  4. Report on an own initiative and systemic investigation into the spillage of waste water into the Groot Marico River and the Karee Spruit due to the mismanagement of the waste water plants in Groot Marico and Zeerust.

She will also give progress report on ongoing investigations.
