Public Protector makes a follow up visit to Orange Farm

Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela will visit Orange Farm following a previous visit in June 2013. She was requested by Mr S Njikelana, Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Energy to intervene on behalf of Orange Farm residents who had approached him with many service delivery problems. The visit will focus on general service failure and service delivery problems and alleged corrupt activities in the area.

The Public Protector saw a need to have a follow up visit and this time she will be accompanied by her team of investigators and senior officials from the Departments of Housing, Health, Home Affairs, Social Development, Justice and Local Government.

The visit further aims to make the Public Protector accessible to and trusted by all persons and communities. The event will take place as follows:
