Public Protector extends services to Mthatha community
Public Protector Adv Thuli Madonsela will extend the services of her office to the people of the OR Tambo district in the Eastern Cape when she opens a new regional office in Mthatha on Friday, 01 October 2010.
Initially scheduled for August to form part of Women’s Month commemorations, the event was postponed indefinitely due to the public service strike, which was underway at the time.
The opening of the office is in line with the constitutional imperative to be accessible to all persons and communities. Currently, there is only one office, which is based in Bhisho, servicing the entire Eastern Cape province. The new office will bring the total number of Public Protector offices across the country to twenty.
The event will be held as follows:
Date: | Froday, 01 October 2010 |
Time: | 10H00 |
Venue | No. 6 Knorf Street, Fortgale, Mthatha (near OR Tambo District Municiaplity offices) |
