Public Protector confirms receipt of comments on provisional report

The Public Protector wishes to confirm that her office received all required comments on the provisional report titled “Against the Rules too”. The comments were received from organs of state and other interested partied by the due date which was 23 June 2011.

Responses from the Ministers of Police and Finance are among those received on 23 June 2011. The Presidency, which was copied for noting and not for comments, submitted a letter of acknowledgement.

Media reports to the contrary are therefore incorrect.

The Public Protector acknowledges and appreciates the cooperation she received from all organs of state and other interested parties.
