Public Protector to address International Crime Stoppers conference in Cape Town
Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela will this week address two events on issues of good governance and the fight against corruption. The addresses are also part of her office’s constitutional mandate of being accessible to all persons and communities.
The Public Protector addresses for this week are as follows:
She will on Tuesday, 14 October 2014 address the 35th International Crime Stoppers Conference in Cape Town. The focus of her speech will be on “The Role of the Public Protector in fighting corruption.” Her address is scheduled for 9:30 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The Public Protector will later in the evening deliver a public lecture of the late Onkgopotse Abram Tiro at the University of Limpopo in Polokwane. The lecture will focus on the role played public officials and politicians in upholding and promoting ethics in government and public institutions. The lecture is scheduled for 18:50 at the Onkgopotse Tiro Hall at the Turfloop campus.
