“They called it Justice” What do you call it? Come and find out at Public Protector’s Media Briefing

Public Protector Adv. Thuli Madonsela will on Thursday, 07 February 2013, release “They called it justice” a report into an alleged failure by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development to protect a whistle-blower who made a protected disclosure in terms of the Protected Disclosures Act.

She will also make public other reports, including a report on an investigation into allegations of improper conduct and unfair treatment by the City of Cape Town relating to damage caused as a result of an electrical power surge. The Public Protector will provide an update on other investigations her office is currently conducting.

The Public Protector will also in line with her institution’s constitutional mandate to be accessible to all persons and communities, launch her office’s social media sites aimed at complimenting other outreach programmes to reach out to more people in need of the services of the Public Protector.
