Public Protector still to meet CWU on the complaint

The Public Protector has noted a media statement issued by the Communications Workers Union (CWU) yesterday relating to the complaint they lodged against the South African Post Office (SAPO).

When the Public Protector approached SAPO, she discovered that it was already investigating the matter and that their investigation culminated in a disciplinary hearing.

The Public Protector then decided to allow the internal process to be completed and thereafter evaluate their findings if any.

The Public Protector has done the evaluation and will be meeting with the Union to discuss her view on the matter.
