Complaint against Gauteng Education MEC Ms Angie Motshekga

The Public Protector has decided no to institute further investigation against Gauteng Education MEC Angie Motshekga in connection with a complaint lodged against her of alleged unethical conduct.

The Public Protector will not pursue the complaint further in terms of the Executive Members' Ethics Act as the matter has already been investigate by the Integrity Commissioner and the Privileges and Ethics Committee extensively covered the available evidence pertaining to the alleged unethical conduct of the MEC.

Gauteng Legislature has also already dealt with the matter. The matter is therefore regarded as finalised.
